Newcastle Citizens Assembly

Who are we?

Newcastle Citizens Assembly is an exciting new way for anyone who lives, works or studies in Newcastle to get involved in improving their city.

It’s your chance to ‘be the change’!

All aspects of life in Newcastle are being considered from the economy, health and wellbeing and the environment to creating quality places to live, safer communities and improving the lives of children and young people.

Anyone can take part and you can give as much or as little of your time as you wish.

Groups can share their ideas for city-wide improvements in Newcastle. Then, together with key decision makers, they can help find solutions to bring about changes that will benefit the whole city.

The people of the city will have a chance to show their support for a particular city-wide improvement they would like to see happen.

This is your opportunity to improve your city. You can be involved in Newcastle Citizens Assembly

As a group by:

Sharing your ideas - Does your group have a suggestion for improving the city?

Finding solutions - Do you want to play an active role in making it happen?

As an individual by:

Showing your support - Which of the improvements being suggested by groups in Newcastle would you like to see happen?

By showing your support for a particular improvement or adding your comments you can influence decision makers and be part of the change.

Newcastle Citizens Assembly has been set up by Newcastle Healthy City, on behalf of the Newcastle Partnership and Newcastle City Council. We recognise the vital contribution the citizens of Newcastle can make to the ongoing improvement of the city.
